Welcome to the Ball State University Net Price Calculator!

Ball State University is pleased to provide this Net Price calculator as a guide to assist in early financial planning for college. This calculator will provide undergraduate students with a preliminary estimate of federal, state and institutional aid eligibility. The intent is to help families gauge what aid the student may be awarded and to make arrangements to cover the cost of attendance.

Financial Aid for International Students is limited. To learn more about international studies at Ball State, contact the Rinker Center for International Programs.

To complete this process, it would be very helpful to have the items listed below. If unavailable, estimates can be used.

  • Most Recently Filed Student and Parent Income Tax Returns
  • Earnings statements (W2 forms, recent paycheck stubs)
  • Bank Statements
  • Account Statements (stocks, bonds, 529 plans, Coverdell Education plans, business and farm records)
  • Records of Untaxed Income (child support, contributions to 401K or tax deferred retirement plans)
  • Student Merit Information
    • GPA
    • SAT/ACT test scores
    • Class Rank

* Please note that each family's circumstances are unique and awards can vary based upon individual circumstances. Future costs and financial aid estimates are subject to change. Results of the calculator are estimates and not guaranteed. The accuracy of your estimated awards is based on the information you provide. The estimated awards are based on the assumption that the student will complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year by March 10th.
